TO CONTACT THE FOSTER HOME, email ohdgarden@comcast.net DO NOT use the Petfinder form. Inquiries don't reach us.
Maxwell is a purebred red heeler. He is between 7-8 months old, weighs about 40 lbs. and was an owner surrender from an Amish farm in PA. He is very social with people and our multiple dogs. He is house trained and is crated at night in same room as one of our resident dogs. We have also allowed him to sleep in our bedroom with other dogs and no issues. He does need encouragement to enter the crate. He prefers to eat outside his crate. We do crate him when unsupervised.
He walks great with harness and working on his fear of parked cars and traffic. When walking with other dog he displays no fear of cars. He has a very high pitched bark when he hears us awake and will bark until released from crate.
He would benefit from having an active family and a playmate and not being crated for more than 4 hours a day. He loves companionship and cuddling on the couch and following his person everywhere. Great on car rides. Still learning basic commands. He is current on all vaccinations and flea and tick preventatives and is microchipped. We prefer to meet potential adopters. We hope to have him neutered before adoption. He is being fostered In Wilmington, Delaware.
If any questions send email to Joan at ohdgarden@comcast.net.
