Maxwell's Story

Hi, I'm Maxwell, and I'm a fully grown pittie mix with a little bit of boxer looks and a whole lot of personality. I'm sweet, playful, outgoing, and absolutely love being around people. I'm also ready to learn all the things! I'm eager to please, so I'm looking forward to learning my commands, showing off my good manners, and earning lots of treats along the way. I love other dogs and I'm happy to share my home with dog-savvy cats. Because I'm such a friendly guy, I can live with people of all ages. Basically, I'm ready to jump into family life and be your fun loving, affectionate sidekick. If you're looking for a happy new friend, you've found him!

West Suburban Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Dog and cat adoptions are the foundation of our mission and the services we offer. After more than 48 years of helping find compatible and loving homes for the animals in our care, we still have a lot more to do. There are thousands of homeless animals in the Chicagoland area waiting to find homes. We hope that you will take the time to learn more about our adoption process and consider adopting one of our current residents. WSHS does its best to match adopters with the dog or cat that would be best suited to their family situation and lifestyle.
