Maxwell's Story
Maxwell is a 7-year-old boy who has not had an easy start to life, but we are absolutely determined to make sure the rest of his story is filled with comfort, love, and happiness. As a puppy, Maxwell suffered a serious leg injury that was never treated. For years, he lived with pain and limited mobility. Despite many efforts, surgeries, and consultations, we couldn't undo the damage done so long ago, and the kindest choice was to amputate his injured leg. The good news? Maxwell has adapted beautifully. Since he wasn't able to use the leg much before, he's already moving better and seems more comfortable and relieved without the constant pain and extra weight. He's learning that life feels pretty good now.

Maxwell enjoys attention from his people, playing with toys, going for walks, splashing around in water, and, perhaps his favorite, lounging on a soft, cozy bed. He's a loyal, loving guy who would thrive as the one and only pet, as other dogs just aren't really his thing. Maxwell is looking for someone who will see his resilience, his strength, and his heart, and give him the safe, loving home he has always deserved. His past doesn't define him, but his future could be incredible... with you
