Meet Maximus 🐾💕<br/><br/>Maximus, or Max as we like to call him, is a distinguished senior who is ready to spend his golden years soaking up love and comfort in a calm, peaceful home. At 9 years old, he still has a bit of spunk and enjoys stretching his legs in the backyard — but he’s happiest lounging on the couch, keeping a watchful eye on his home and napping near his favorite person.<br/><br/>Max is a true gentleman with plenty of wisdom to share. He’s a tall Texan with a touch of mischief — he’s been known to sneak a snack off the counter if you’re not paying attention, but his sweet face and soulful eyes make it impossible to stay mad at him for long.<br/><br/>This resilient boy has endured so much, suffering a chemical burn down his spine from a previous owner. Our devoted team of volunteers and community partners have given Max everything he needed to heal: food, a safe place to rest, and, most importantly, compassion. His scars is healing, both physically and emotionally, and his hair is growing back beautifully. <br/><br/>Despite his past, Max remains loving and loyal, and he’s ready to find a safe forever home where he can finally relax and be adored. Max needs a home without men or other pets — he feels safest with women only, and would do best as the only animal in the house so he can soak up all the attention and affection he’s missed out on for too long.<br/><br/>📍 Location: Currently Fostered in Houston, Texas<br/>🏡 Adoption through Saving Pups of Texas, a 501(c)(3) rescue.<br/>💵 Adoption Fee: $300<br/>🚐 Out-of-State Adoptions Welcome!
