Maximilian "Max" - Located in CO's Story
Found in an abandoned garage, he was scared and snappy. Animal control was able to secure him and he was brought to the local shelter. He has no microchip and no one came to claim him. Over the course of the week, and with the help of shelter staff, he has settled down and is now seeking affection. We are told he is now approaching the kennel front socially, seeking attention, and allows all handling for exam. He does take treats pretty hard but is very eager to train for them. He was introduced to a small dog and large dogs, both male and female, and he did great with both. We will be posting video of those interactions soon, but we have reviewed them and yes, indeed, he was not aggressive with other dogs.

Cats are an unknown, as are small children. At this time, do to his skittishness with new people, we strongly suggest no kids younger than 15, and all people should give him decompression time and let him approach them.

He appears to be a good boy who needs to feel confident and secure through positive training, boundaries and slow socialization to new things.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic .

***********************************************

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location.
