Max's Story

Meet Your New Best Friend

If you've been looking for the kind of dog that makes you wonder how he hasn't been adopted yet, let us introduce you to this handsome boy!

This sweet 5-year-old neutered Black Lab weighs in at 96 pounds of pure love. Max truly is the best boy and has quickly stolen everyone's heart in foster care.

He's completely housebroken, has wonderful manners, has all his vaccines, and already knows "sit." He doesn't jump on people and gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats, making him an easy addition to many homes.

One of his favorite things in the world? Car rides! He's the perfect passenger, happily lying down for the trip but always making time to stick his head out the window to enjoy the breeze. At home, you'll usually find him carrying around one of his beloved toys or curled up at the foot of the bed, where he loves to sleep. And if you're looking for a cuddle buddy, he's more than happy to volunteer for the job.

Like any good Lab, he does have a curious nose! He's been known to investigate the kitchen counters if something smells interesting. We're working on his "counter surfing" habit, and he's making great progress.

He enjoys going for walks, but because he's a strong 96-pound boy, he can pull on the leash when he's excited. With consistency and continued training, he'll only get better.

He's currently taking medication for some allergy-related itching and scratching, which is being managed well.

This gentle giant has so much love to give. Whether you're headed out on an adventure, relaxing on the couch, or settling in for the night, he'll be right there by your side. All he's missing is a forever family to call his own.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend, a road trip companion, a toy enthusiast, and a professional cuddle bug, this sweet Lab is ready to meet you.

Could that be you? He is located in Brook, IN.

*******
Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. Its a lifetime commitment!
