Max's Story

Say a big hello to Max! Max is a sweet boy and he is ready to find his forever home! Unfortunately Max has been known to have resource guarding of his food and treats, so keep in mind that when giving him food, you should wait till he is finished and walks away from his bowl. However, he can be trained with positive reinforcement training methods to help manage his resource guarding. Max will do well in a calm environment with a lot of consistency in the home. Any kids in the home have to be 12 or up. Max is required to have a dog-to-dog introduction to make sure everyone will get along in the home, and please keep in mind to feed separately. Max will not be for first time dog owners, required dog experienced. We recommend anyone who has herding breed experience, although it is not required as well. If you would love to meet or have any questions about Max, please ask a kennel tech and they will be happy to assist you.
