Max's Story

This fine looking gentleman is "Max"! He is a mixed breed and just under a year old. Hard to tell what breeds he is mixed with. A shepherd looking face for sure, but then he has a strip of courser hair (like a Terrier) along his back.

This guy is silly, goofy, playful, affectionate and very high energy. His ideal home would have another playful dog for him to exert his energy with or a very active family (or both).

Currently Max is approx 40lbs. He is on the skinny side but is eating well. Once he is filled out, he will likely be closer to 50 lbs.

Max is both crate and potty trained. He also knows his name and some basic commands. He is a very social dog and likes to be in the mix of things. He is not a big barker but when provoked, like a Shepherd, his bark can pack a punch! Max is getting much better on leash and enjoys his daily walk. His favorite part of the walk is to pass by the local fire station for a free cookie 🙂 Max is dog friendly but we have no history of him with cats. Best guess - if kitty can tolerate his playful energy - all should be fine 🙂

Requirements for Max include a fully, physically fenced yard, kids 5 and up, and a household that is ready for a young, active dog.

Those with interest in Max, please send an inquiry through Petfinder or email us at compassdogrescue@gmail.com Please make sure you check your spam folders for our response back as sometimes our emails end up there :/

Max is fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative (and on prevention, and microchipped.
