Max's Story

Meet Max, a one-year-old German Shepherd who is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated—and every bit the classic shepherd people love.

Max is smart, observant, and eager to connect with his people. He’s friendly and social, with a clear preference for women, though he does fine with men once he gets to know them. With other dogs, Max is more cautious than wide open—he’s polite and interested, but appreciates slow, respectful introductions.

He’s crate-trained and adjusting to life indoors. Max is still polishing his house-training skills since indoor living is new to him, but with a consistent routine and patience, he’s making progress. Like many young shepherds, he’s a quick learner who does best when expectations are clear.

Max is still filling out and will benefit from continued good nutrition as he gains some weight. He would thrive in a home ready to offer structure, guidance, and ongoing training. An adopter with German Shepherd experience—or someone willing to research and understand the breed—would be the best fit for Max and help him continue growing into a confident, well-balanced companion.
