Max's Story
Meet Max. This sweet soul had a rough start in life as an unwanted puppy with a family that did not have the time or the love for him. He spent much of his puppyhood tethered to his dog house until a good samaritan stepped in to help.

Fast forward to now. Max is starting to learn what it means to be a dog. He's neutered, so far he appears to be house-trained and he gets along with (and is submissive to) other dogs and is sweet with kids. He is even ok with chickens (though it's a hard pass on cats for Max).

Max loves playing with toys and is working on his house manners (he still is figuring out that jumping up isn't a great way to say hello). But he's learning quickly and is very teachable. He'd do great with another pup for a companion. Max is fearful of men, but is working on it with his foster dad - baby steps towards the dog he was meant to be!

Max is ready for a new start on life, and is waiting for his happily ever after.
