Meet Mavis!<br/><br/>Mavis is an approximately 3-4 year old athletic, beautiful spayed 58 lb. Blue Nose pittie.<br/><br/>Mavis is very intelligent and observant, picking up on her fosters routines he doesnt realize himself until she anticipates them.<br/><br/>Mavis survived as a stray, even having a litter of puppies prior to her being taken into a rescue. Once in a foster home, Mavis stoic independence that kept her alive as a stray began to melt. She loves lying on the floor while giving kisses, and eventually falling asleep with her head on her fosters arms as he softly pets her face, resulting in her soft snoring. Mavis now lets her foster trim her nails and clean her ears. Although she is not a fan of grooming, she knows she is being cared for and shows her appreciation.<br/><br/>Mavis does play with the other foster pitties, but because of her history of surviving as a stray and having a litter, we are careful not to place Mavis in a situation with limited food or attention resources. <br/>We feel Mavis would do best as an only dog in the home or with a larger male dog and an experienced adopter who can slowly acclimate her to living full time with another pup.<br/><br/>Mavis does not do well with female dogs or cats.<br/>She walks great on the leash and is non-reactive to other dogs on walks. She also responds well to correction. <br/><br/>Oh! If you are considering Mavis you should probably have a garden hose.
