Meet Mavis! Mavis came into the shelter with her buddy Bruno on December 13th after being surrendered by their family who were moving and could not take them. While her buddy Bruno has since been adopted, Mavis has been waiting months to find her new family. She has been introduced to new dogs and has done well. Her play style is rough so she prefers to have a dog buddy that will match her energy. She loves to rough house and play! Mavis is still learning not to pull when she is walking on a leash but does love to go for a walk with us. She also seems to be potty trained; she tends to wait for her turn in the yard. She loves to play in the water so if you are one to visit a lake, you better bet she is going to make a splash! Mavis loves any and all treats, especially her peanut butter kong at night. All potential adopters are required to fill out our adoption application. If the animal is ready for adoption and the adopter's application is approved, they can take the animal immediately after the adoption fee is paid. We may require a home visit prior to adoption and if multiple applications are submitted, we reserve the right to pick the most appropriate adopter for that animal. We also reserve the right to deny an application.
