Maverick's Story
Hi there! My name is Maverick, and I’m a 3-month-old mixed breed pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality. I had a chilly start to life—I was found near a school when I was just 4 weeks old, cold and alone in the snow. But look at me now… I’ve grown into a happy, playful puppy and I’m ready for my forever home!

I was born with a heart murmur, but right now it does not affect my growth or activity level at all—I keep up just fine with playtime and puppy fun. If the murmur stabilizes within my first year of life, it’s very possible that I could go on to live a full, normal lifespan. If it changes while I grow, I may require medication and some additional vet check-ups the future. My rescue team is committed to transparency so my future family knows exactly how to support me.

I love playing with my foster sister, and treats are absolutely one of my favorite things. I’m currently working on my potty training, and my foster momma says I’m really smart and pick things up quickly—especially when snacks are involved!
Since I’m still learning my puppy manners (including working on my puppy nippiness), I’m looking for a home with children aged 10+, where things can stay a little calmer while I continue to grow and learn.

If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate pup who’s ready to share a lifetime of love and tail wags, Maverick might just be your perfect match. 💙🐶

Maverick is vet checked, dewormed and up to date on vaccines. He will be microchipped prior to being adopted.

Adopting a puppy is a serious commitment. Puppies are notoriously cute, but they grow up and sometimes they grow into large dogs. But that is just one little part of what offering a puppy a home really involves, there’s so much more that it takes careful consideration and a lot of planning. Things to consider are: time (walks, training), patience, budget (food, spay/neuter, yearly vaccines, etc.), space (home, large/fenced yard).

#helpmefindahome #dogs #availableforadoption #adoptdontshop #nlrhs
