Maverick's Story

Maverick was left outside year-round, skinny, and covered in fleas, so we saved him and made him a family member. He’s so precious and loving. Maverick has come a long way and knows how to play with toys now and he actually will act like a husky every once in a while, - it took him months to have a personality. He has to be kenneled if you leave but he’s fine if you’re home with him. He had to learn how to be an inside dog so there’s some training and growth to still happen there. He’s fantastic with kids and he loves playing with my cats and he barks at them when they don’t want to play. Maverick likes to chase his tail and will flop down in front of you for belly rubs, even in the middle of the store. He’s super cuddly and would love to be a lapdog even though he’s too big for that. He likes to play with other dogs that aren’t too in his face.
