Maverick's Story

Maverick is an energetic, loving and silly 2 year old beagle boy. He’s a bigger guy at 35 pounds, but still thinks he’s a lap dog.

Maverick loves to play with other dogs and we’d recommend that he have a young or playful dog friend in his new home. He has done well at daycare and even is a good boy for baths!

He enjoys a good cuddle on the couch with his humans and likes to sleep in bed with them. Maverick can be timid around men at first, but once he gets to know them he is all about the love.

Maverick has lived with children (5+) in the past and done well with them, though he currently does not live with children. He tends to think of himself as a furbaby and likes to be with his foster parents as much as possible.

Maverick's favorite activity in his foster home is being on squirrel patrol in the yard or even checking on them from the windows. He will chase cats and small animals, so needs a home without any small critter temptation.

Mav is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash if using a front clip harness.

Maverick is neutered, microchipped and has received all his other vaccines.

If interested in Maverick, please apply at herohounds.org/adopt
