In his foster home, he’s been a social superstar, playing beautifully with dogs of all sizes. He is an easy-going, sweet-natured boy who has never met a stranger he didn't want to charm. Whether he’s showing off his sleek, shiny coat on a walk or leaning in for a chin scratch, he’s the kind of dog that people stop to admire.<br/><br/>Life with Maverick is full of energy and fun. He’s a young, active guy who thrives on movement and play, making him the perfect match for a family that loves to stay busy. Maverick is "treat-motivated," and he’s been using that love for snacks to work on his basic training. He’s working on "sit," and he’s looking for a family to help him continue his education. He’s already house-trained and crate-trained, so he’s well on his way to being a Hall of Fame companion.<br/><br/>Because Maverick loves people so much, he sometimes gets a little over-eager and forgets his own 73-pound strength. He’s currently working on his "no-jumping" rule, but because he’s still learning to keep all four paws on the floor during his happy dances, he’d do best in a home with older children who won't mind his enthusiastic greetings.<br/><br/>Maverick is neutered, up-to-date on all his shots, and 100% ready to find his permanent teammates. We ask that you please take the time to thoroughly review and understand the policies and procedures outlined on our "Adopt a Lab" page and Sample Adoption Contract prior to submitting an adoption application. To expedite the process, please follow the step-by-step instructions outlined and submit an adoption application listing 3-5 dogs of interest. Please hurry as your new best friend is waiting for you!<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEES: $495 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees.
