Meet Maverick!<br/>Maverick is a stunning 1-year-old Husky who was found roaming the streets of Boonville before arriving at our shelter. He came in healthy but understandably scared—new environments can be overwhelming for a boy like him. With time, patience, and lots of gentle reassurance, Maverick has started to show us his true, lovable personality.<br/><br/>Although he hasn’t been officially introduced to our other shelter pups yet, he doesn’t seem bothered by them at all. He often walks up to their kennels to sniff and say hello through the fence, showing curiosity and calm friendliness with no signs of aggression.<br/><br/>Maverick is an energetic guy who loves being outdoors and would make a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys staying active. Whether it’s walks, adventures, or just running around in the yard, he’s always ready to go. And when he’s done, he’ll happily crawl right into your lap for snuggles—yes, this Husky thinks he’s a lap dog!<br/><br/>With the holidays coming up, Maverick is hoping he won’t have to spend them in the shelter.
