She is a beautiful girl inside and out. Mattison is a 1–2-year-old female, weighs 39 pounds, and is heartworm negative. She and her sister, Maribel, were found roaming together in a nice neighborhood. Sadly, it appears they may have been dropped off, and no one has come forward to claim them. When Mattison first arrived at the shelter, she was understandably timid and frightened, but with a few days of patience and gentle encouragement from our volunteers, Mattison is beginning to come out of her shell. She is starting to look forward to walks on a leash and doing pretty well. She is very sweet and gentle and absolutely loves sitting quietly while she gets petted. Mattison is looking for a patient family willing to give her a little time to feel safe and learn to trust. She has so much love waiting to be given.
