Matt's Story
Matt is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption surey to learn more about him and schedule an introduction.

Matt is:
Neutered: Yes!
Up to date on vaccines: Yes!
Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized

More about Matt:
Housebroken: Yes!
Crate trained: Matt finds crating stressful and would prefer to free roam
Leash walking: He can be a little fearful when seeing new people or dogs when on walks, but is becoming more confident every day
Dog social: Yes! He has been enjoying participating in doggy playgroups at our adoption center and would love a dog friend in the home to help him build his confidence
Cat social: Unknown
Kid friendly: Matt is friendly with children but can be jumpy and mouthy when overexcited so is a better match for older kids.

Matt likes:
- Cuddling with his person
- Playing with his toys
- Romping around with a dog pal

Matt was found as a stray with an HDMI cable tied tightly around his neck, and feet that are a little abnormally spread out indicating he may have been crated for long periods at some point. Whatever Matt went through prior to being rescued still has some effect on his confidence, but not on his indomitable spirit-- He can be nervous of new people and random things, but he wants so badly to love that he will willingly (yet cautiously) face his fears to do so. He's now getting to focus on all things that bring him joy, from snuggling on a person's lap and getting kisses to playing with a dog friend or quietly enjoying a plushy toy on the couch while he calmly observes those around him.

Matt's adoption fee is $300, and he is ready to give his love to his person!

Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/

*** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***
