This lovable people pleaser is always ready for some human attention and would do just about anything for a good head scratch. If you're looking for a dog who will happily soak up your love and affection, Mater is your guy!

Mater enjoys playing with other dogs and has plenty of energy to share. He does show some dominant behaviors during play, including attempts to mount, so he would do best with an experienced dog owner and/or tolerant canine playmates. His recent neuter may help with these behaviors over time, but adopters should be prepared to provide patient guidance and supervision. We recommend slow introductions to other dogs and would be cautious about pairing him with another dominant dog.

Mater is mostly house trained and cat friendly. He is a big ball of energy who will thrive with an active family that can provide healthy outlets through walks, playtime, training, and plenty of enrichment.

Mater also has a history of a jaw injury. He is currently very functional and does not appear to be in pain, but his teeth do not align as they should. His future family will need to monitor his oral and dental health closely long term.

With his goofy looks, loving heart, and energetic personality, Mater is sure to bring plenty of fun and affection to his forever home. Could this quirky, lovable boy be the perfect addition to your family?

Apply to adopt Mater today!
