Mateo - affectionate boy, good with other dogs!

Looking for a companion who truly listens? How about Mateo? He's all ears! This young cutie is just around a year old (yes, he's a "tweenager") and ready to find a family that will help him grow into a pawsome adult. He is very smart and is already learning new commands in the short time he's been here. <br/><br/>More about Mateo:<br/><br/>- Around a year old, 46 pounds (will still have a bit of growing to do)<br/>- Exuberant "tween"ager with energy to spare<br/>- Very smart and treat motivated so is willing to put in the work for snacks <br/>- Can be mouthy like many adolescent dogs are (they explore the world with their mouths) - can be redirected with commands/alternative activities. <br/>- OAHS will sponsor a training package with a positive-reinforcement based trainer for Mateo's adopter to get him started on the right paw! <br/>- Best as only dog in the home. (Currently attends dog daycare but his playstyle is very rough-and-tumble and dogs have not appreciated it one-on-one)<br/>- Unknown with cats<br/>- Suggested for families with older kids - teenagers- due to jumpy/grabby/puppy behavior and children old enough to participate in training<br/>- Neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations<br/><br/>Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible.
