Loyal, loving, and protective, he is a true family dog that wants to be part of your pack. He makes a great sidekick when you're on a hiking trail or the ranch, and wants to play or sleep at your feet during the day. He adores other dogs, and does great at doggy daycare. With strangers, he'll greet them but would rather focus his attention on you. He is smart and motivated by praise and positive reinforcement, making training a joy. He checks in with his chosen family, people and dogs alike, to make sure everyone is together and happy.<br/><br/>It's clear he had a hard life before entering the shelter, and the shelter was going to euthanize him and his littermates for space. He was always the brave big brother... his siblings would cower behind him, and he would sit in the front as if to say "I have to approve of you first before you can meet my brothers and sisters". He's a very intelligent, introspective dog.<br/><br/>As you can see from his portraits, he loves to let loose and run alongside you and your dogs. Once bonded, he will follow you everywhere. <br/><br/>Matcha is doing wonderfully with potty training and crate training and sees his crate as a safe, cozy space.
