Masiel's Story

Meet Maisel 💕 Sweet with a little salt!
—
Maisel is truly one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs with the gentlest soul. She’s affectionate, loving, and just a touch stubborn, the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Maisel spent over a year surviving as a stray before she was finally rescued after giving birth to a small litter of puppies in a pile of brush. Despite everything she’s been through, her love for people never faded.
Maisel has a severely scarred back leg that was broken long ago and healed improperly, and she also has a BB or bullet lodged in that leg. She often walks on three legs, but don’t let that fool you, she still gets joyful zoomies and spins in happy circles when she’s feeling good. She also has hip dysplasia and does best with daily joint supplements and careful weight management to keep her comfortable long-term.
She enjoys the company of other dogs but is not compatible with cats. Because of her leg, Maisel would thrive in a calmer home where she can take life at a gentler pace and avoid unnecessary strain. She absolutely adores people and lives for soft face rubs, kisses, and quiet companionship.
Maisel is around 5 years old, weighs about 75 pounds, and is both potty trained and crate trained. She’s ready for a loving home that will continue her joint supplements, help her maintain a healthy weight, and most of all, cherish her for the resilient, loving girl she is.
Maisel has survived so much and now she’s ready to be someone’s everything. 💖 Apply on our website #adoptdontshop
