At almost 8 months old, Maz is exactly what her name suggests: fast, flashy, and built for action.

Maz is the kind of puppy who wakes up every morning ready to experience everything life has to offer. Toys? Yes. People? Absolutely. Dogs? Best day ever. Cats? Well... she thinks they are extremely exciting and would love to be best friends immediately, whether they agree or not.

Maz currently lives with a cat, and while she has good intentions, her enthusiasm can be a bit... overwhelming. Any future feline roommates will need to be very tolerant and confident, because Maz firmly believes the cat should participate in all of her activities.

On the training front, Maz is doing really well for her age. She’s making good progress with potty training and is learning the routine of living in a home. Like many puppies her age, she sometimes struggles with making it through a full day in her kennel — which is very normal for an almost 8-month-old tweenager who would much rather be out having fun.

Maz is also currently going through the classic puppy “mouthy” phase. She’s still learning that humans prefer attention requests that don’t involve slobber and teeth. The good news? She is extremely smart and is already starting to figure things out with consistent guidance.

And that brain of hers is going to need an outlet. Maz would thrive with a family that can give her lots of things to do; training, games, enrichment, adventures, or anything that keeps her busy and learning. A bored Maz will absolutely invent her own entertainment, and you may or may not like her ideas. Don't think that this lady only knows how to live it up!. She has plenty of downtime and cuddles in her daily schedule too. While she loves to play, she also LOVES an open lap and a long cuddle session. Naps and couch time are good for balance!

What Maz needs most is a home that understands that smart, high-energy puppies don’t raise themselves. With structure, patience, and continued training, she has all the ingredients to grow into an incredible dog. She is extremely smart, eager to please, and very treat motivated!

If you’re looking for a puppy who will keep life interesting, make you laugh daily, and is ready to learn everything you’re willing to teach, Maz might just be your perfect co-pilot.

2/21/26 Volunteer Feedback: I took Maserati on a small kennel break this afternoon. She road in my car like a perfect angel. She just sat in back and enjoyed the ride never trying to get up front with me. She is a little timid but warms up quite quickly. She got along well with my dog. Though she didn't quite figure out the doggie door, I don't think it would take her long as she would come in and out while I held it open. Maserati spent most of her time looking out our front window. I don't think she would make a good guard dog since she fell asleep on the job. It's tough work keeping an eye on the neighborhood.
