Meet Maryella!<br/><br/>Maryella is a senior sweetheart (born 11/8/2015) who found herself at the shelter after being a lifelong, devoted companion to her former family. While she knows not everyone is searching for a senior dog with a few health considerations, Maryella is holding onto hope that someone special will give her the chance she deserves.<br/><br/>Mary is an absolute lovebug who adores every human she meets. She has zero stranger danger, is incredibly gentle, and is very quiet—the kind of dog who brings calm and comfort wherever she goes.<br/><br/>When Maryella first arrived at her foster home, she was struggling with frequent urinary accidents and some incontinence. The good news? After a round of antibiotics for a UTI and starting a daily incontinence medication, she has improved dramatically. Accidents are now rare, and while she can’t promise they’ll never happen again, she truly tries her hardest—and her progress in just one month has been amazing. Even better, her medication is very affordable, and she’ll come with a nice full bottle to get her started.<br/><br/>Maryella is also heartworm positive, but there’s no need to worry. Our rescue will cover the full cost of treatment, which includes one injection in early February followed by two back-to-back injections in early March. After that, she’ll be heartworm-free and ready to enjoy her golden years. She would love a quiet, restful home where she can recover comfortably—could that be with you?<br/><br/>Maryella is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly flea and tick prevention.<br/><br/>She does well with most other dogs but has no interest in playing—people are her favorite! Because we’re unsure how she feels about cats, a no-cat home would be best.
