Mary's Story

Mary came to us with her sister Molly after their owner passed. They were put into a crowded shelter and ended up on the euth list. These sweet girls earned extra time and we were able to find fosters and rescue them. Both have been great in their foster homes and we think would be the perfect addition to any household! Mary is the perfect mix of sweet and spunky. She is on the small side and easy to care for. She loves cheese, belly rubs, and going for walks. She will give you lots of snuggles & kisses and can brighten your darkest day. Not to mention she has the cutest floppy ears! People Helping Paws Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

At the time of adoption, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heartworm tested as appropriate for age, given flea/tick and heartworm preventative treatment and micro-chipped. You must be 18+ to adopt and a Missouri resident. Check your HOA or lease for pet permissions. We do not adopt out dogs that will be living outside on a chain, in a fenced yard or in an outdoor kennel--that's why our foster volunteers work hard to crate and potty train our dogs so they can live inside as a part of your family! **Please note: PHPDR reserves the right to do home visits and vet checks on all dogs adopted through our organization.

Our mission is to reduce the number of dogs needlessly euthanized in Missouri by providing community support to help pets stay in loving homes and fostering hard-to-place breeds and/or medically needy dogs to prepare them for adoption into loving homes.
