Marvin's Story
Marvin was found in a teeny tiny crate left on Temple Street near Downtown Los Angeles, so small that he could barely move inside it. Completely frightened and shut down when brought to the shelter, The REAL Bark immediately took him in and began the giving of human love and interaction that reminded him that life is not always going to be that horrible scary place he was left at. Marvin has been given a thorough tune-up and cleaning of his teeth, something that was severely ignored and he is a new, youthful boy! He has also enjoyed the love and serenity of a foster home for the holidays, with another girl dog, and did tremendously well! Who is Marvin? He is a very affectionate, sweet and gentle boy, loves to play, and also cuddle by his human (sometimes rubbing against them like a cat). He loves to go on walks, is happy to meet people and dogs who are friendly and not too rowdy, and sleeps well through the night. He is great with new people and dogs in a warm quiet meeting environment, and happy to meet others. And once he warms to someone, he loves those butt rubs and attention. Hardly a shedder, house trained and a dog friendly dog, he can go on walks for 30-45 minutes 2X a day and does car rides no problem. And he has discovered toys and knows how to fetch!! Marvin is ready for his forever home. If you are looking for a 10ish year dog who has the spirit and energy of an 8 year old, and knows how to respect the home, Marvin is your guy!!!
