Martini's Story
If you're looking for a top shelf puppy, then do we have the girl for you! This is Martini, who came to Colorado all the way from Puerto Rico. This little lady was rescued from a life on the streets with her sisters when they were little teeny babies.

Martini is very shy, but making leaps and strides every day. She absolutely adores her foster mom and dad, and loves her foster siblings! She really thrives from the company of other dogs, so a home with other dogs would be a great fit for her - she's learning from her current foster siblings and following their lead.

Martini loves to play, and she loves to be outside. She's also laid claim to a comically large bed, so clearly the finer things in life were built for her!

Martini is getting the hang of all the good dog tricks: leash training, potty training, and crate training! While she was initially very concerned about leaving the safety of her house and yard, she's recently turned into an adventure queen on her leash and enjoys checking out all the open spaces near her house. She loves walking with her adult foster siblings because they make her feel safe! She's very curious about prairie dogs!

We previously had Martini listed as Special Needs just because she was so shy. She would make high-pitched noises like a hummingbird when people got too close to her! However, she's made enough growth that we don't believe she needs that title.

That said, she does need a patient, loving human to help her keep growing. We know firsthand just how loyal a companion she will be. She loves hopping onto the couch or bed to snuggle with her foster parents. She's the bravest little girl, but needs the freedom to move at the speed that feels comfortable for her.

Usually, satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, some chihuahua, some pit, and you name it! They are always loving and grateful.
We do not know what breed Martini is, possibly a lab mix! Whatever she is, it's a cute combo. We anticipate she will grow into a small/middle-sized adult, possibly around 25-45lb, but of course, they do sometimes surprise us!

Martini's foster home is in Boulder, CO.

If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out the application here. There is a $400 adoption donation for Martini:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSCO/Dog
