Meet Martha May! Martha May came to us as a stray from the Cleveland Ave area, and sadly no one came looking for her. This sweet girl is believed to be a Beagle mix and is around 6 years old. Martha May is friendly, outgoing, and has never met a stranger she didn’t like. She may do well with other friendly dogs, though we are unsure how she feels about cats. Martha May walks nicely on leash, appears to be house trained, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a mellow but affectionate buddy. She’s currently rocking a little extra “chonky charm” and will need an adopter committed to helping her slim down and feel her best. Martha May is waiting for her vet appointment and is available for pre-adoption. She’s ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch and a family to call her own.

Bisbee Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We ask that you meet the animal in person to help ensure that it's a good match for both of you. You will need to fill out an application, with at least 3 personal references and a vet reference. We usually approve or deny the adoption within 24 to 48 hours. Our adoptions are not first come first served, but are based on what is the best fit for the animal and potential pet parent. We may receive multiple applications for the same animal. The adoption fee for cats over 1 year is $60 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration. The adoption fee for kittens under 1 year is $75 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration. The adoption fee for dogs over 1 year is $75 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration. The adoption fee for puppies under 1 year is $100 which also includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration.
