Marston's Story

Marston / M / 7Y / 56lbs / Mixed breed / Fostered in Toronto

This lovable boy is the total package—a cuddly couch potato who transforms into an excited bundle of joy the moment you reach for his leash! Marston is a true "Loverboy" who wants nothing more than to be near his people at all times.

Perfectly potty-trained and an absolute angel on leash
Gentle and sweet with other dogs and cats—he's figured out which toys are his and respects boundaries
Ready to go! No crate needed, and he's trusted to free roam
Good with kids 10+
Toy enthusiast who adores squeaky toys (though he loves them a little too much and might dismantle them!)
The cutest quirk: Does adorable tippy-taps with his front paws while sitting patiently for meals and treats

What Makes Marston Special: He might be the sweetest, most loving dog you'll ever meet. With zero guarding tendencies and not an aggressive bone in his body, Marston settled into his foster home immediately and has been nothing but easy-going and happy. He's outgoing, playful, and completely unbothered by other pets.

Marston gets very excited when it's walk time and will jump up in his enthusiasm—he's a big boy, so his future family should be comfortable with this. He experiences some separation anxiety and would bark when left, but hasn't been destructive (currently managed with medication during work hours). He was diagnosed with pannus but is receiving daily Prednisolone eye drops to help manage this.

Marston's Dream Home: A family who can be home with him most of the time would be ideal. He is ok being left when needed, but this affectionate guy is simply happiest when he's with his people—preferably in someone's lap! Medium energy level means he's up for adventures but equally content napping the day away. Because of his separation anxiety, he would do best in a house versus an apartment.

If you are interested in adopting Marston, please complete an adoption application on our website.
