Marshall's Story

***Marshall***
@2 year old male black Labrador Retriever

Hi! My name is Marshall!

I’m a 2-3-year-old black Lab looking for my forever family. I’m a curious boy with a little bit of puppy energy still and what my foster family thinks are the sweetest eyes they’ve ever seen.

I have a lot of love to give and my favorite place to be is wherever my people are. I absolutely love snuggling up on the couch with my humans! My foster family calls me a Velcro dog, and they said that’s going to make me a great best friend for someone.

After snuggling, my other favorite activity is going for walks. I get really excited because of how much I love walks, so sometimes I’m a little energetic on my leash. I am very attentive though, so I think I’ll be able to learn a lot with my forever family and get better at things like walking nicely on my leash.

I was abandoned, so sometimes I get scared being left on my own, but my foster family says I’ve been making a lot of progress on that. I go into my crate really well and sleep through the night in there, too. Because I like to be close to my people, my foster parents have been putting my crate in their bedroom at night to help me feel safe.

I do need to gain a little more weight, too, after being abandoned. But I love food, so I don’t think this is a negative at all.

I’ve had fun spending time with my furry foster sisters! My canine foster sister and I love to play together. I would do well with another pup sibling, but could also be the only dog in your family (more pets and snuggles for me that way!). I also have a feline foster sister, and I do pretty well with her. She does need her space sometimes and I’m learning she also doesn’t like being chased like my dog foster sister does.

I met Santa recently and asked him for a forever family for Christmas this year – could it be you?

If you think it could and you’re an approved LELRR adopter, refer to the instructions on your approval email.
