MARS's Story

Meet Mars!

Hi, my name is Mars, and I’m a sweet, sensitive soul with a playful side just waiting to shine. I can be a little shy and timid at first, but once I get to know you and feel comfortable, I really come out of my shell. Then you’ll see my favorite things—hopping, jumping, and having a blast in the yard!

I get along really well with other dogs, especially those who enjoy a fun, playful style like I do and are not on the dominant side. Having a dog buddy could be a big confidence booster for me. I’d do best in a home with older children who understand that I may need some patience while I settle in.

I’m looking for a cat-free home, and I’d really benefit from basic training to help build my confidence and help me be the best dog I can be. With consistency, kindness, and a little time, I know I’ll thrive.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who blossoms with love and understanding, I just might be your guy. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is sponsored by one of the wonderful friends of MCAC!
