Marmaduke is deaf and proves every day that it doesn't slow him down, it just makes him extra special. <br/><br/>With the help of his foster family, Marmaduke has been learning sign language. He's eager to communicate and loves interacting with his people. One of his favorite ways to get attention is with a gentle "boop." For example, if his foster is cooking, Marmaduke might boop for attention. When they sign "outside," he'll think about it, and if that's not what he wants, they try "play." As soon as he sees that sign, he bounces with excitement and runs off to grab a toy for a game of tug! <br/><br/>Marmaduke is full of personality. Since he can't hear squeaky toys, he prefers rubber chew toys, crinkle toys, and treat puzzles. Sometimes he'll even fall asleep chewing on a rubber toy like a baby with a pacifier. He has bursts of playful energy, zooming around the yard like a toddler before suddenly crashing into a nap, often in the funniest positions. <br/><br/>Despite his playful side, Marmaduke is also incredibly loving. He enjoys car rides, trips to the park, and snuggling with his people.
