Marley's Story

Hi, I'm Marley! I'm a German Shepherd / Husky mix with a sweet heart, curious mind, and goofy, playful spirit. I've already made great progress in a short time! The world used to feel pretty scary, but my confidence grows more every day as I learn that new things can be safe and fun!

I'm a pup who likes to get to know new people and dogs at my own pace. With patience, kindness, and a few treats, I warm up beautifully. Once I feel comfortable, I form strong bonds and become deeply affectionate and loyal to my people.

Because I'm still building confidence and can be sensitive to a lot of activity, I'm looking for a home without young children where I can continue to feel safe and grow at my own pace.

I'm a very smart, athletic puppy who would thrive with an active family who can keep both my mind and body engaged. With continued training, I could make a great running or adventure buddy! My favorite things include chest rubs, snacks, tennis balls, chewing on toys, sunbathing, and playing in the snow — a true Colorado dog!

I'm still working on crate and potty training and do best with gentle, consistent guidance and positive reinforcement. I'm currently building confidence with my foster and a trainer, and I'm a quick learner who's eager to keep growing.

With patience, love and understanding, I transform into a devoted cuddle buddy who loves giving kisses, snuggling close, and being near my people. I may take a moment to feel completely at home, but I promise to return all that patience with endless affection, loyalty and amusement. If you're ready to help a sweet, playful puppy continue building confidence, I'd love to be your boy and best friend!
