Marley's Story

Marley is available for adoption
Please share him.

Calling all Guardian breed lovers!!!!!!!!! This is Marley, he is a 4-year-old guardian mix in good
health. He was surrendered by his previous owners due to having very little knowledge of the guardian breeds and the lifestyle they tend to work best in. Marley’s previous owners LOVED him tremendously, but their very busy household caused Marley a lot of strain and stress. They lived in a busy, open-door policy neighborhood, which, as you can guess, does not work well with Guardian breeds. They decided that rehoming him to a quieter home with more guardian breed knowledge would be best. Pack Perspective decided to take him in and help find him a new home. Here is some info on Marley-

Marley is in good health and is a dog rescued, like most these days, from the streets of Texas
as a puppy. He's a bit shy until he gets to know you, and then loves you beyond measure. Upon a DNA check, he came back almost all Guardian breeds, which means he will,
and does, get protective of the things he loves the most, which tends to be his family. If you are
looking for a fantastic guard dog who will put their life on the line for you, then Marley is your dog.
dog. Marley is not the kind of dog a novice owner or someone unfamiliar with guardian breeds should have. While he is intensely sweet with his “pack” he does need set up for success when it comes to introduction to strangers. When done properly, Marley Does great but he definitely needs to be helped to not tap into protection mode, unnecessarily. Marley has lived with a Trainer at Pack Perspective for awhile now and is ready for his forever home. He is great on leash, trained in all commands and is o? leash recalled trained. He is crate trained and is fantastic with other dogs, kids, cats and anyone in his “pack” etc. The most important thing to know about Marley is his breed mix and his ability to guard a bit to zealously if you turn a blind eye to his DNA. When set up for success, Marley shines, however, When he s set up for failure,
he will do what comes naturally to his breed mix. Everyone who meets Marley loves him but
we will not let him go to anyone but the perfect situation. He would work best with a
knowledgeable handler of his breed mix, someone who is structured, loving yet firm.Someone who does NOT have an open door policy and knows how to introduce guardian breeds PROPERLY. He is an absolute love and will cuddle with his ppl for hours on end. He loves his walks and loves a routine structured life. He would be best for someone possibly single or a family looking for a dog to protect them should anything bad happen- because lord knows- out of all
the dogs I’ve trained and had, he would be the kind of dog that would take a bullet for his family without hesitation. He’s hands down the best naturally protective dog I’ve seen. He just needs someone who will manage it properly and he will shine bright!

Pls share and help Marley find his forever home!
If you interested in Marley please fill out application online at www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com
