Marlee's Story
Marlee is a sweet & gentle girl. She is still a little shy when meeting new people, but she did come from a big litter of 12 and is now just a single pup from her litter in this home with some new dog friends, so a little adjusting!

She does love to play with the 2 dogs here, 1 other much smaller foster pup & the much larger resident dog. Marlee is learning to trust the 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, too. She gives tail wags and kisses, sometimes will ask for belly rubs too!

Marlee loves her fleece blankets and her plush toys to cuddle on when she’s kenneled when we work or are at school. She’s a quiet girl when in there too. She sleeps overnight in her oversized kennel as well.

While she’s still learning to be house trained, she is showing signs (whimpering and stirring; looking for the door) to let you know she needs to go most of the time, you just need to be paying attention.

Marlee is currently learning to walk nice on a leash and learning how to sit. We just started both of these things, so work in progress!

Marlee is estimated to be 5 months old and 15 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events!

Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/
You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet!

Saturday, February 14, 11:00am-1:00pm, Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative, 1712 Marshall St. NE Mpls, Ste. 100 https://www.facebook.com/events/874130971620133

Saturday, February 21, 12:00-2:00pm, Forgotten Star Brewing, 38 Northern Stacks Drive, Fridley https://www.facebook.com/events/1406567791037135
