Marjie's Story

Marjie - Looking for Snuggles and Adventures
~ 2 yr old | 17 lb | Poodle Mix | Non-Shed | Long Beach CA

When she isn't out exploring, you can find Marjie chasing her favorite squishy toys or leaning in for some love. She is a loyal companion who truly wants to be by your side.

Given her young age, she is notably gentle and calm. She is perfectly happy resting on her dog bed throughout the day or headed out for a walk around the block. She is a friendly girl who truly craves companionship and absolutely loves being petted.

This smart girl is already house trained and knows how to ‘sit’. She is an eager learner currently working on ‘stay’ and ‘come’. While she is still learning her leash manners and can sometimes be a bit vocal when she sees new friends, she is very responsive to correction and is motivated by her love of treats.

Marjie is a true survivor. After undergoing surgery to repair a broken leg, she has made a wonderful recovery and is walking beautifully. Her time spent resting during her recovery has made her an expert at crate training, and she is happy to sleep in her crate at night or relax there safely when you need to step out for a few hours.

She would do best in a home without young children where she can enjoy a predictable environment. Marjie is social and gets along well with other dogs, even at dog park. She would do well as an only dog or in a home with another calm dog. At home, she should be fed separately from other dogs, as she can exhibit food guarding.

Marjie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations.
If you are looking for a sweet, non-shedding companion who has mastered the art of the quiet life but is also up for adventures, Marjie is waiting to meet you.
