Mariposa's Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SEPTEMBER 18, 2026 !!!
Mariposa is a unique little pup. Her mother Tami who was picked up on the side of a rural road enormously pregnant is half Chihuahua, 10% Dachshund and 12 other small breed bits and pieces, including poodle and Pomeranian and Maltese (see photo of Tami). Daddy was a BIG guy: Staffordshire terrier and GSD and Great Pyrenees and cattle dog - and coyote. Yes, that is coyote. Just 1%.
Mariposa is the smartest pup in the litter and the boldest. If she hears a strange sound, she is over there like a bullet to check it out. She is fearless for a pup her age, and her tail never stops wagging.
These pups have had 2 sets of puppy shots, their nails have been clipped weekly and they are using a litter box in their play pen (well, not always, but...often). We want them to go to safe loving lifetime homes with secure fencing and lots of exercise. The weight predictor is leaning towards pocket pitties about 25 to 40 pounds full grown for the the larger pups in the litter.
Mariposa is in foster care in Clatskanie, Oregon. Her adoption fee is $250. She refuses to come when she is called - she is far too busy checking stuff out.
