<p>&lt;p&gt;</p><br/><p>HOWDY! <strong>I'm Mario</strong>, and I'm sweet as pie. &nbsp;<strong>I'm a favorite </strong>of of some of the volunteers who help out at the shelter b/c I'm so good all the time. &nbsp;At 4y old, and <strong>approximately 35lbs </strong>or so, I'm <strong>at the perfect stage and size</strong> in life to be your best bud! &nbsp;I've always got a big smile on my face and I get along with most everyone. &nbsp;My favorite fun to be had is to show off my tricks, which I'm happy to do for some treats (wink, wink). &nbsp;<strong>They say shepards are smart cookies</strong>...and I'm definitely smart and I like cookies! &nbsp;I think that's why they put me down as a shepard mix.&nbsp;</p><br/><p>&lt;p&gt;</p><br/><p>Some folks who don't know me think I'm <strong>a bit funny looking</strong>, but that's only <strong>until you</strong> do get to know me, and <strong>start seeing me with your heart instead</strong> of just your eyes. &nbsp;Then you realize how perfect and beautiful I am! &nbsp;See, earlier in my life, the muscles on top of my head caught an infection--called masticatory muscle myositis, or 3M--they swelled up and hurt, I couldn't chew very well until they started to get better, and then they returned to normal size...and just kept going and shrunk! &nbsp;So now I can chew well enough, but my head has a special sort of shape without those muscles being normal size. &nbsp;It's not very important to me now, and <strong>you shouldn't be worried</strong> either! &nbsp;The staff where I live can tell you more about it, and so can any vet.</p><br/><p>&lt;p&gt;</p><br/><p>I am good on a leash, house trained, and as I said before, I have a really, really good personality! &nbsp;<strong>I don't have any major bad habits</strong>, and I really just want to please you.&nbsp;</p><br/><p>&lt;p&gt;</p><br/><p>I've been neutered, and my shots are all up to date. &nbsp;I was tested for Heartworm when I first got to the shelter, but it might need to be updated, b/c they don't give us preventative meds here. &nbsp;I was also treated and tested for intestinal worms, but that might also need an update. &nbsp;Our new vet can tell us all about it when we visit for the first time! &nbsp;</p><br/><p>&lt;p&gt;</p><br/><p>If you'd like to ask any questions about or make arrangements to meet Mario, please email us at <strong>tinylionscatrescue@yahoo.com</strong> for more information. &nbsp;We'll try to get back to you in 24h or less. &nbsp;Thanks for considering a shelter animal to adopt for your next family member!</p><br/><p>&nbsp;</p><br/><p>&nbsp;</p>
