Marilyn's Story

This jaw drop gorgeous Girl is Marilyn. I usually write these from the dog's perspective but as her proud foster mom I needed to write this from my own words. Marilyn just turned 2 on October 7th so she is young. She has a timid demeanor, so a confident handler gives her the extra she is currently building. She looks for reassurance in some situations that you need to provide for her without babying. She is kennel trained; potty trained and knows basic commands. Great with other dogs her size. Another doggy friend would be ideal for her. Cats unknown. With her being the adolescence age there is still some puppy antics when playing and bouncing around so kids over the age of 10 would be great. With her being unsure sometimes a fenced yard or lead is recommended at this time. She has a decent prey drive so chasing squirrels and other critters is a current hobby but fun to watch. Marilyn will always look to you for reassurance and guidance. We call her the ninja...she can go stealth mode while walking without making a sound. She is an amazing balanced playmate for other dogs. She shows perfect 50/50 dominant and submissiveness during play. New people can be scary, so we have been working on opening up and showing her the world is much bigger and a lot of cool nice people to meet. Also currently working on walking on leash. She has worked so hard while in foster care!! Just understand she will need some patience in the beginning until you become besties :)
Application: sandipaws.org

Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue.
