Marie's Story

FREE food and vet care for 1 year if adopted in August!

Marie is a striking German Shepherd with a joyful personality and eyes full of expression (even though she was born without tear ducts!). After undergoing corrective surgery, she’s healing beautifully and embracing life with her signature mix of sweetness and spunk.

Marie is full of fun—she loves her toys, adores being chased around the yard, and splashes with pure joy in her kiddie pool. She’s house-trained, loyal, and has a wonderfully goofy sense of humor once she feels at ease, inviting you to laugh with her.

Marie is looking for a patient, experienced owner who understands shepherds and can give her the consistent guidance she needs. Because of her past eye issues and subsequent vision loss, she prefers a calm, predictable environment and does best when people make their presence known; sudden movements or being startled isn’t her thing.

She also needs to be the only pet in the home. Marie wants all the love and attention for herself and honestly, she deserves it. However, as her eyes heal and some more of her vision returns, she may be willing to try slow introductions to large, attractive male dogs.

If you’re ready to offer structure, kindness, 100 toys, and a little kiddie pool time, Marie will reward you with loyalty, laughs, and a bond that runs deep.

Marie is ready to be your one and only. Come meet her and see the magic for yourself.
