Margarita pup: Mimosa's Story

Lovable and silly!

Hi, y'all! My name is Mimosa, and I'm a 7-month-old Malinois/Pit mix, weighing in at 45 pounds of pure puppy energy and love. I'm one of sweet Margarita's babies, and now I'm ready to find my furever home!

I'm a super affectionate, playful girl who loves nothing more than making my humans laugh and feel loved. Whether it's cuddling on the couch, playing fetch, or roughhousing with my foster siblings, I'm always up for some fun. I also enjoy going on walks — although I'm still learning to take it slow on the leash (I start off excited but usually settle down after 20 minutes or so!).

I'm fully potty-trained and crate-trained, and I've shown no signs of separation anxiety — I'm used to being left with one of my doggie foster siblings and do just fine. I've also been spayed and have no current health issues.

Because I'm such an energetic and playful pup, I'd thrive with an active family who can make sure I get lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation. I get along well with other dogs after a proper introduction, and I'd be so happy to have a doggie sibling to play with — and maybe even a kiddo or two!

If you're looking for a lovable, silly, and spirited pup to be your new best friend, I might just be your girl. My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.

The Animal Pad's Adoption Policy
We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane. Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational. All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times. All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise. Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000. Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc. Adoption Application: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
