PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION.. MARGARITA is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas <br/>if interested there is an application on our website<br/><br/>https:/www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/<br/><br/>She is approx 5/6 years and 60 lbs<br/>she was thrown away in a field with just a few bushes for shelter and found by a lady that contacted us to rescue her, she looks like a mini lab mix, she is full of personality, she tested positive for heart worms when we took her in and has been treated with the recommended heart worm treatment by the American Heartworm Society, we find that the dogs usually test negative in 4-6 months after treatment, she does like to run and play with her rescue buddies and loves people, however , she does have some food aggression with the other dogs, but not people, and will growl at any of them that go near when she is eating or has a treat, so we feed her apart from the others, she loves to chase squirrels and ill sit in the yard for ages waiting for one to appear... she would be great for someone that likes to hike or jog, as she loves to eat and could do to lose a few lbs.. she does need a fully fenced in and secure yard, she seems to be well house trained and does well on a leash <br/><br/><br/>THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,<br/><br/>OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years.<br/><br/><br/>The total adoption fee of $300 ( and includes the spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at<br/>https:/www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/
