Maple: Miracle She is ALIVE!!

Maple has had a rough beginning in her short life and deserves so much more! She was found on a busy road and a good samaritan stopped and picked her up and called our rescue for help. At the time, she literally was skin and bones and weighed only 20 pounds and probably should weigh more like 35 to 40. And yet through all of that starvation, she loves people! Her favorite thing to do is to climb up in your lap and get as close to you as she can. Her foster family is working really hard on getting her ready for adoption both in health and in training. She is learning Sit and shake. We are not sure if she is quite a year old so she still has a lot of puppy energy. She is super affectionate and loves all humans and has been great with the other dogs. She loves the backyard to run around and do the zoomies but always circles right back to her human. She checks in and then off she goes again! She is not the type of dog to be left alone in the backyard as that would be a punishment for her to be away from her people. When she is outside, she will bark but when she is inside, she’s not a barker. We really want to give her a fresh start and place her in a home where someone is patient and understanding of her beginning years and how they have affected her. She currently has gained about 7 pounds and is looking so much better!
