Maple's Story

Hi, I'm Maple -and let me tell you about my 10/10 field trip day!
Today started the best way possible: hopping in the car with my buddy (ASC# 97299). I was a very good car rider, thank you very much-happy, relaxed, and enjoying the view. I especially loved looking out the window at the mountains on the way to our adventure. Big fan. Would rate the scenery five paws .
Once we arrived, I got to hang out, play with toys, and go on a hike. I have a LOT of energy, so this was basically my dream itinerary. I walked great on leash-right alongside my buddy, no pulling-and showed off some of my growing skills, like sitting on command and dropping toys/objects (still practicing, but I'm pretty proud of myself).
Halfway through the hike, I had my funniest moment: I decided it was time for a break. Right there. In the middle of the trail. I laid down and refused to move until I felt properly rested. Self-care is important, okay?
At the end of the trail, there was a waterfall, and wow-10/10, would hike again for that. Between the toys, the food (I would do anything for food), and all the humans I got to meet, it was a really happy day for me. I love people! I'm curious and kind with dogs too-I just want to say hi. New people are usually fun, though I'll admit... men can make me a little nervous at first.
A few things I want my future humans to know: I'm still working on potty training, and I am absolutely terrified of stairs and uneven surfaces. On the hike, my buddy had to carry me up-very embarrassing, but also very appreciated. I am gentle, bouncy, and happy... just maybe not built for staircases yet.
All in all, this field trip was amazing. New sights, new smells, toys, food, and a nap break exactly when I wanted it? Perfect day.
Final rating: 10/10. Would adventure again.
