Maple is currently living and training with her handlers at Fluvanna Women's Correctional Center.<br/><br/>Through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections, Pixie's Pen Pals (a program of FETCH a Cure) places homeless dogs in the care of incarcerated people for dedicated, individualized training and socialization guided by canine behavior specialists.<br/><br/>The bio below was provided by her handlers at Fluvanna Correctional:<br/><br/>Here comes Maple! She's sweeter than maple syrup and dancers like a leaf on the wind when she's excited. Maple is a foxhound and loves to sniff. She's 5 years old but don't let that fool you as she's energetic and frisky like a puppy.<br/><br/>She always looks like she's smiling and wagging her tail. This happy girl is great with other dogs and loves people. She grumbles in her sleep and doesn't chew on anything inappropriate. Completely potty-trained and comfortable in a crate, she's the perfect dog for trail walks or just hanging out at home.
