Meet the marvelous Maple! <br/><br/>Maple is a purebred beagle puppy born ~July 5 who ended up at our rescue after her breeder wouldn’t take her back when the person who purchased her developed allergies.<br/><br/>But now with Advocates for Northern Animals, she has the chance to find her perfect forever home! Could that be you?<br/><br/>Maple is doing well in her foster home in Kirkland Lake, Ontario with a gentle large dog and a kitty— she gets along great with them both! She is being crate trained and while she does have accidents overnight (she’s so tiny, it’s hard for her to hold it that long!) she makes a great effort of not going potty in the house. <br/><br/>She will need continued crate & potty training but is very smart and seems to be learning quickly!<br/><br/>Maple is very sweet and loves kisses— she also gets the zoomies and runs around the yard any chance she gets! <br/><br/>Full grown beagles usually reach around 25lbs so we think she will be about that big as an adult. Beagles are active breeds who need plenty of exercise and love, and they love playing games that use their nose (like hiding and finding treats)! Her sense of smell is amazing! <br/><br/>In true beagle fashion, she is a little on the vocal side when playing or settling down in her crate. She is learning to howl, and while it is quite cute, her adopters should be prepared for some classic beagle noise! <br/><br/>Maple will receive her final round of vaccines in the next few days, and then will be ready for adoption!
