Maple's Story

Name: Maple
Job Title: Professional Lap Dog (Unaware She Is 50 lbs)
Age: 1 year Status: Spayed & ready to move in
Maple is a 50-pound shadow who genuinely believes she fits in your pocket. She has never met a stranger, loves kids, cats, and dogs, and treats cuddles like a full-time job with mandatory overtime.
The Good, The Quirky, & The FOMO:
Energy Level: A total chameleon. If your other dog wants to run a marathon, shes in. If they want to melt into the couch like a half-eaten marshmallow, shes right there with them.
Brains: Uncomfortably smart. Fully house/leash/crate trained and will learn any trick in exchange for snacks.
Car Rides: Getting into the car is scary. Being in the car is fine (and zero car sickness!).
The Crate Situation: Maple suffers from acute FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). When you put her in the crate, she will yell about her grievances for roughly three minutes before realizing shes fine and going to sleep.
Adopter Rules for Success:
1. Must have another dog: She needs a dog sibling to play with and mirror.
2. Stick to the crate routine: Her foster was a stay-at-home mom, so Maple expects a 24/7 audience. To stop her from turning into a velcro wreck or taking her crate frustration out on a blanket, you must keep up with crating her while you are home, not just when you leave.
If you want a smart, goofy, velcro-pup who will happily crush your legs on the couch, Maple is your girl!
