What I learned is that kids love puppies! And after I was abandoned at a school and was surrounded by little curious people, a generous larger version of the kids took me home! I don't know why I was left there, but I now know that not all people are mean.<br/><br/>I am an adventurous, happy, energetic little puppy who loves exploring and being part of the action. Oh, I think I am very smart, and my brain needs nourishment, so I am food motivated. I think that makes me extremely trainable with the right person. I love adventure (everything looks really big to me) and always eager to try something new, whether it’s exploring a new place, going to the beach, or tagging along wherever my fosters take me...<br/><br/>Listen, I am still very young and can get over-excited, which currently comes with some intense puppy biting. Human fingers are tasty! But my fosters provide consistent routine and work on my impulse control, they tell me this is especially important for my development. I do calm down, and watch out because I become incredibly cuddly, affectionate, and loving. Dogs intimidate me, but those upright, two-legged creatures make me wiggle. I would do best with someone who can give me plenty of structure, patience, and opportunities to learn. I don't mind my crate; it is a place for me to settle and decompress when I get overly excited.<br/><br/>I am mighty and told my fosters and anyone who will listen that I will grow big and will need a larger crate. They laughed and said, "Maple, your personality might not fit in a room, but don't worry your crate will always stay the same size and be there even if you double in size!"
