Meet Maple Maple's story begins with quiet bravery. At just about a year old herself, this young rez dog was doing everything she could to protect her nine tiny puppies while living on the streets. When she discovered an abandoned dog house on a nearby property, she seized the little bit of shelter it offered. One by one, she carried each puppy into the rugged, makeshift structure , determined to give them whatever safety she could from the cold, windy weather outside . It wasn't much — but to Maple, it was hope.<br/><br/>When we learned about her situation, we organized a rescue crew and drove out to bring Maple and her babies to safety . She greeted us with a mix of exhaustion and relief, trusting us enough to let us help her family. Now warm, safe, and cared for, Maple is thriving.
