When she discovered an abandoned dog house on a nearby property, she seized the little bit of shelter it offered. One by one, she carried each puppy into the rugged, makeshift structure , determined to give them whatever safety she could from the cold, windy weather outside . It wasn't much — but to Maple, it was hope.<br/><br/>When we learned about her situation, we organized a rescue crew and drove out to bring Maple and her babies to safety . She greeted us with a mix of exhaustion and relief, trusting us enough to let us help her family. Now warm, safe, and cared for, Maple is thriving.
